- Summary of the legal proceedings
Following the disappearance of their two sons under custody, the Tanrıverdi family embarked upon a lengthy search for them, during which the case was transferred between multiple prosecutor’s offices. At one point, the case was dismissed on the grounds that one of the sons had a search warrant issued for him for being a PKK member, only to be re-opened due to the family’s insistence.
In 27th November 2014, the Lice Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued a standing search warrant for the two brothers. The investigation is on-going.
