Per Yakay-Der records and press statement released by Cumartesi İnsanları during their demonstration on 7th June 2014, forty year-old Mehmet İnan was detained twice during the winter months of 1994 and released. About 10 days after being released from his second detention, he was kidnapped by gunned men and forced into a car while shopping in downtown, Siirt.
He has not been heard from again, nor has his remains have been found.
